Zach Braff: I think it's sweet that they're sort of like sweet innocent lip kisses. You know, it's not like we're...
Natalie Portman: Tonguing.
Zach Braff: Yeah, it's not like we're jamming tongues down each other's throats. It's more just like the... innocent lips.
Natalie Portman: Well, that was only because of the deal we made.
Zach Braff: What? Oh, the tongue -
Natalie Portman: The "no tongue" rule.
Zach Braff: You jammed it in there a couple times, come on.
Natalie Portman: You liked it.

Brilliant, poignant, funny, dark, witty, attentive, articulate,

It was written by one writer that this film defined the modern, now group and while I agree I suggest that that position discredits this film. It is a film that can be embraced by each generation and hopefully from those not yet born. There is hope and love, apathy and generosity, ugliness and beauty, Yin and yan. One may say that the 'oneness' of the picture captured in a perfect way, the oneness of Buddhism and Karma (Kamma). In Buddism, material universes do not exist as they did not exist in the film until someone came in and broke their frame. In Karma, Karma being action, there must be an action which produces a consequence and this in turn and by definition is Karma and this picture presented this well and often. My generation is from the 40's and my appreciation is of 2005. Namaste! Harry B Battle
